Jillene Luce is from Miami, Florida (USA). She began to study classical piano at age 5, started playing in pop and rock bands in New York at 17, then migrated to Switzerland to begin composing and producing her own music. She worked with many top artists live and in the studio, producing tracks for hi -tech theater, TV, corporate shows, commercials, movies and compilations including the world famous Cafe del Mar (see references). She has worked with Desmond Child (producer for Bon jovi), and Rafael Menendez (producer for Gloria Estafan & Miami Sound Machine). She won the Telly Award in 2004 for her work combining Chinese Classic Instruments with electronica in the "Virtual Magician" Television Series with Marco Tempest. She also performed solo, playing piano and singing live in clubs and events, combining her own compositions with pop and jazz standards. With the surge of electronic music in the 90's, the public¨s attraction to DJ's and dance music was very strong, and left live musicians a quite out of the picture. In 1997 while making her second CD in New York, she saw the first performances of live musicians interacting with DJ's . Most of it was in dance music tempo, but gave her a vision.... to do live performances in lounge and chillout tempo in ambient Venues. Her fascination of electronica and world beats, combined with a personal longing to perform live again after many years spent mostly in studios - came the birth of the Deluxe Live Lounge Project. A singer/keyboardist in a lounge or club setting - with new style backing tracks and/or improvising live with DJ's or other musicians, creating lyrics and melodies to their tracks, sometimes interacting with the audience. She began the first sessions in Barcelona in 2002. For parties and events she still performs popular cover tracks, sometimes with a totally new chic remix for backing music, and take great efforts to ensure the backings and remixes are cool, modern and well produced. Since 2007, Jillene has appeared regularaly on the world renown compilation "Cafe del Mar".
